Case Study: Rescuing a High-Stakes Aviation Trading Platform
Assignment from 2019
Project Overview
The client is a prominent B2B marketplace for aircraft components and MRO services. The platform reached Wollow as a "rescue mission"—the original source code, developed by a third-party vendor, contained critical failures that halted daily operations and threatened business continuity.
The Challenge: Software Audit & Rescue
The primary hurdle wasn't just the complexity of the aviation niche, but the quality of the inherited legacy code. Our mission was to:
-
Comprehensive Technical Audit: Deep-dive analysis of the existing architecture to identify critical bottlenecks.
-
Stabilization: Fixing logical gaps in the order processing workflow.
-
Refactoring & Extension: Implementing the client’s specific business model onto an existing, yet "broken" foundation.
Our Solution: Optimized Workflow Integration
We embedded clients’ strict commercial terms directly into the software logic, automating the following stages:
-
Request for Quote (RFQ) Management: Developed a flexible system for handling inquiries for parts and services.
-
Smart Quotation: A module for generating formal quotes (valid for 30 days), including certification details, delivery terms, and condition of goods.
-
Order Validation & Compliance: Integrated mandatory checks for End-User Verification and aircraft-specific data (Tail number, Serial number) to ensure regulatory compliance.
-
Contract Conversion: Automated transformation of Purchase Orders (PO) into official contracts upon administrator approval.
The Result
By clearing the technical debt and stabilizing the core engine, Wollow successfully transformed a failing project into a reliable, scalable ERP solution.
